This park is one of the most popular places in the US, however there are still some unknown facts to people about it.
To honor the National Park Service’s 100th birthday, we’re going to be taking a closer look at the Grand Canyon. Attracting more than 5.5 million visitors in 2015, the canyon is world-renowned for its one-of-a-kind geological formations, colored rocks, and an impressive sheer size.
1. Fear the pink.
Or better, “avoid the pink.” Grand Canyon pink rattlesnake, is the most common venomous pit viper you can come across. This species have been often seen within the inner gorge and y the Colorado River corridor. This snake easily blends with the rocks, so watch your step!
